Blank Canvas

Dear Kerby,

Monday Keith told me about the snow storm that was coming. I did not hear of it or believe it. You how how many times the weather person could be wrong. It is a 50/50 science. Either it is right or it is wrong. No area in between.

Yesterday they still had the school open when I had class at 8am. Not that bad but I wish it would have been closed. I sat through two classes and came home around 11 for lunch. I checked Purdue Calumet's website and they still had the school open. I went to my class at noon but my partner in math class told me they closed school at 2:15 pm.

Math class let us out early at about 1:30. The class got out and I was walking home with a friend that does live in the dorms. I felt like telling all the people that were walking toward school that teachers were sending students home and by the time you got to class they would just send you home. I resisted the urge and kept my mouth shut and told no one.

As I look out the window I see nothing but a white canvas. I hope school is closed for the rest of the week. Most of the students are commuters and half the school should not be penalized for not being at school because of the weather.

What more do you want me to say? I am lucky I have power as I write this not to you. To me, I thought people at the college level were smart but as they make judgments like this about the weather I see not. I would was mad at how they acted yesterday but nothing I can do. I just hope they make a better judgment call for tomorrow and close school because I say so. I am bluelaugh and I overrule the Snow Queen and Ice King.

Talk to you later, Bluelaugh
